Witness statement: I was driving home on a scenic route through Woolmer Green, Hertfordshire. But, at 13:52 PM, on July 21st 2015, just seconds after entering White Horse Lane, my wife's head was forcibly, though invisibly, turned to face right, and up. A bizarre cloud, at a low angle relative to the road, had a hole in the middle. My wife saw a black object within that hole. But it was only a fleeting glimpse.
The object vanished almost instantly. I should stress that, given the fact that I was driving a right-hand drive car with a solid roof, and given that my wife was sitting in the left-hand passenger seat, the cloud had to be at al low angle.
I was able to take a quick peek at the mysterious cloud over my shoulder, but, given that White Horse Lane is rather narrow and windy, this peek had to be rather fleeting. I drove the car to the Burnham Green end of White Horse Lane, turned the car around, and drove back to the junction with Robbery Bottom Lane. White Horse Lane is surrounded by farmland, and the crops are, of course, maturing at this time of year.

Robbery Bottom Lane was the nearest turn-off to the point of the incident. It is also surrounded by farmland. So, I turned into Robbery Bottom Lane, to see if there were any signs of crop circles. Neither I, nor my wife, saw anything unusual.
